Preparing your artwork for printed packaging

Finished artwork, just a logo, or a brand-new idea — what to send us and how the journey from idea to finished packaging works.

Printed packaging starts with artwork, but you do not need to have everything ready. Our in-house design support can work from finished files, a logo, an initial idea or a completely new brand.

Start where you are

  • I have finished artwork – we check your files for print and prepare product-specific layouts.
  • I only have a logo – we build your logo into a layout that suits each product.
  • I need help with my branding – start with an idea and our designers develop it with you.
  • I will provide artwork later – choose your products now and send artwork when it is ready.

File types

Artwork can be uploaded as PDF, AI, EPS, SVG, PNG or JPEG files. Vector files such as PDF, AI, EPS or SVG usually give the sharpest print.

Client to confirm: final production file requirements (maximum file size, colour mode, bleed and resolution).

From idea to finished packaging

  • Initial idea – your brief, logo or inspiration.
  • Artwork – layout, colours and product templates.
  • Mock-up – a digital view of your proposed design.
  • Finished packaging – your approved design, produced and checked.

Deliverables, revisions, print files, fees and timings are agreed in your design brief before work starts. Find out more about design support and previews and samples.
